I have been having trouble with my body temperature. Sometimes I feel quite warm in the mornings but the thermometer registers in the 35s. but in the evening I am cold and the thermometer is still in the 35s. Only last night my temperature was only 34.5.
Today I got the results of my blood test back.
T4 1.9 ( 10.5 - 26. )
T3 5.1 ( 3.9 - 6.8 )
TSH 0.017 ( 0.35 - 4.5 )
I'm on T3 only (but take 1 capsule of Metavive 1., of the record.) As I can't tolerate T4 which my GP insists I take.
The notes on bloods says abnormal as expected no further action.

I don't sleep well, sweating and kicking off the duvet but waking temps average 35.5. then goes down a bit but never been as low 34.5 last night. Occasionally I might get as high as 36.
Have you experimented with using T3 in smaller doses spread through the day?
It can be a pain to dose in smaller doses, but sometimes it is more effective for some people.
The smaller dose may fit better with a lower supply of cortisol which i imagine you will have.
So i would try seeing what 10mcg taken at 6am, 9am, 12 noon, 3pm, 6pm, 9pm, and midnight is like.
It would be interesting to see if you get some periods of the day when the temp does come up, or if you feel good. If you find feeling good at a certain point you will have matched your T3 more equally with your available cortisol.
another thing to try is to reduce the T3. Very often people are over medicated and this has the effect of making your system shut down so you become hypo and this means you can be colder. When i used T3 the most i could take per day was 55mcg. Anything over shut me down.
The spread dosing will actually have the same effect as a reduction because in the morning you will actually be on less T3 than you normally would be and so the body will experience less T3 for a few hours.
There is a lot you can do to try and understand what is happening with the body and it will involve experimentation with your dosing.
