Well I had my appointment with new GP long discussion inconclusive on all counts - agreed to take bloods do a full blood count etc. Discussed that prior to diagnosis in 2002 bloods all within 'normal range' but then GP decided to treat with Levo due to being highly symptomatic.
This test was taken at 17.00 but I had not had any levo for 33hours (daily dose 125mcg) Receptionist phoned today to tell me with great glee that everything was normal and I had nothing to worry about. When pressed for numbers we got
TSH 0.15
T4 22.1
Ferratin 68
B12 etc normal Thyroid Antibodies not tested and results showed slight HYPERTHYROID but not to worry - GP would discuss at follow up appointment on 21st Nov. HELP NEEDED AND FAST! I am now terrified they will reduce my dose further leaving me feeling worse than ever.

My GP requested a full blood count, TSH, FT4, Blood sugar, Blood viscosity, serum Ferritin that was it. I can giveyou the full blood count results if required.
I don't eat meat but have a diet high in fish, dairy and veg + nuts and seeds. Fats are dairy, fish oil, olive oil, veg oil.
I have never been aware that I should be gluten free having no symptoms of coeliac etc.
It looks like I'm showing hyper blood results with hypo symptoms guess I will have to find the money for private blood test and then request an endo referral.
Why a 5pm blood draw? You know from replies to previous posts of yours that TSH is highest early in the morning and that is when you should have blood drawn. If they spring a test on you at an inappropriate time, you just say it's not convenient and you will make an appointment that is convenient to you. The only thing that leaving off Levo will do is lower your FT4 a bit, it's an early blood draw and fasting overnight that gives the highest TSH.
We need reference ranges to interpret your tests. And with FT4 that high you really need FT3 as well to see if you are converting well enough. NHS probably wont do it so best get a Medichecks or Blue Horizon Thyroid Monitoring or Plus 3 test which checks TSH, FT4 and FT3 at the same time. If you want antibodies testing then they both do a test to include those too.
5pm draw because I had just left GP consultation went to make appt for bloods, there was a cancellation seemed the right thing to do knowing how long you wait for any appointment at our surgery. However I had fasted and not taken any medication since lunchtime on the previous day.
TSH 0.15 mu/L [0.27 - 4.2]
FT4 22.1 pmo/L [12.0 - 22.0]
No other Thyroid tests were requested I did have a full blood count done I can list all results if required .
Ferritin 68ug/L [13.0 - 150]
It seems I now have hyper blood results with hypo symptoms?!!
No you haven't got hyper blood results. Your TSH is suppressed and your FT4 is 0.1 over range which if they fuss over then ask them to do FT3.
What has happened is that your blood was taken at the time of day when TSH was so much lower than an early morning blood draw. Had you had the blood draw no later than 9am then it would have been quite a bit higher, as has been pointed out to you before - see the first chart in this post healthunlocked.com/thyroidu...
If you had fasted from lunchtime the previous day until 5pm blood draw, that's a heck of long time to go without food, over 24 hours!
All I can say is exactly what I put in my previous post. Refuse any thyroid blood tests sprung on you any later than 9am. Doesn't matter if you have to wait for another appointment, is it worth risking having your dose reduced?
