Shaws, have you done any research on LDN?

Low dose naltrexone? There is a book on Amazon called LDN The Book! Many are on there with so many autoimmune diseases, and are now in remission! Do you have Hashimoto’s, which is an Autoimmune disease. People who have Cancer, MS,

Fibromyalgia, etc! This is not run from Big Pharma, The FDA has approved Naltrexone for drug addicts that overdose, but are not involved in LDN. you need a Script from a doctor, and you have a compounding druggist either make capsules, Tablets or

liquid. You can find all about it on this website! I want very much to go on it but I am on opiods and LDN is a opiod antagonist, and

you have to be off for a certain amount of time! Check it out, some people say they are now in remission from their thyroid condition, for one. another woman is in remission from MS and later got Uterine Cancer, was oersted on, took chemo plus whatever else, and after so many years is

in remission of that, too! She got on LDN years ago after she lost he life insurance!

It is very affordable from the compounding pharmacies! like some $45 for 90 days and a lot cheaper! Good luck shaws!

I’m on it and I wouldn’t want to be without it. 3mg /3ml per night recommended for hashimotos. My physio recommended a neurological pain killer and low dose naltrexone fit the bill and then some.

Wish it was easier to get hold of.

Thank you, charliebrowne, But I’m looking for info on ULDN to work with my Dr. to get off pain meds

with him!

in reply to marin5

I have heard it is hard to get hold of. But apparently there is someone in scotland. I think who does prescriptions.

Mandyjane. I get it from a chemist in Scotland and it’s very easy to get hold of. Get it sent to me.

Hi Lainey03. Could you please private message me with details of where you get this in Scotland. I live in Glasgow. Thanks.

Dicksons' Chemist Has a Dr. who will prescribe it. I have tried there but unfortunately, he appears to be on sick leave.I live in N.Ireland and my wonderful G.P. gave me a 3-month script. have yet to try it but it gets such a positive profile I am very hopeful.

Can I ask what symptoms you use LDN for? I’ve only just heard about it, I have Hashimotos and am still in process of trying to get my meds, vitamins etc right. I am not suffering that badly but still have very up and down energy levels which also seem to be affected by my menstrual cycle.

Thanks Marz - I've had a look though it doesn't mentions specific symptoms of hashimotos that it helps with. Does it have to be prescribed by a doctor in the UK do you know?

You need to engage with the website - complete forms - send confirmation of your Hashimotos and then they continue to help you with the prescriptions etc. I was almost there - but then being Gluten Free reduced my anti-bodies after a long time of being GF. I also have Crohns but at 71 it seems to be behaving itself :-) The Doc is in Scotland I believe. Type LDN into the Search Thyroid UK Box and have a peep at all the other posts about LDN :-)

If you need more help - please shout !

Do what Marz says. He knows what he’s talking about! If you google it and ask what autoimmune diseases does LDN treat, the list is endless! Google has a lot of answers, as people pop up with answers there too!

I take it for Hashimoto’s disease. It’s been a year now, at least. It has brought my thyroid antibodies down. If you take it with Alpha lipoic Acid 250 to 300 mg it improves the efficacy. I get it from my doctor directly. Colorado, USA

Buy the book on Amazon, it’s is a very valuable read. I have been on LDN for a year to help fight anxiety, insominia, high cortisol levels and high TSH. The book is fabulous and the site mentioned above is a great place to find information. I live in the US and mine cost me $75 for 90 days. The only pain drug you can take with LDN is tramadol. It has helped me reduce my anxiety medication and increased by good feel endorphins, won’t give it up.
