You probably would want a diabetes forum for better advice e.g. diabetes.co.uk

However I would look at Amazon e.g. Amazon.it Though if they don't have it then I would look for another Amazon site in Europe e.g. Amazon.fr, Amazon.co.uk

I've seen people work out the amount of carbs and glucose in a confectionery so that they have easy access to the correct dosage (in some countries this is cheaper than the prescription glucose tablets).

It might be worth your while to email Glucolift or a similar brand to ask them if they distribute to Italy?

glucolift.com

Ok, thank you :)

You can use any simple sugar candy for hypoglycemia. I'm a diabetic & use jelly beans. Each one has 1 carb sugar, so easy to count what you need. They're also easy to carry with you. Glucose tabs are expensive for what they are & taste terrible.

Whats your daily intake?

I take 10g of sugar in the morning and 5 in the afternoon by eating every 3 hours some biscuits, for now it works good

I'm T1 diabetic, so only use glucose to correct insulin induced lows. Everyone's dose for glucose would be different, though. In case you weren't told this, protein is better at keeping glucose stable. Glucose, dextrose, sucrose, fructose are quickly metabolized. If you need a quick sugar fix to keep from fainting, that's ok but it's not a long-term hypoglycemic solution. After you eat something sweet in an emergency, eat protein after. A little less than 50% of protein is turned into glucose at a slower, longer lasting rate. You may not need to eat high carb foods & eat every 3 hours if you eat protein. High carb (& sugar, of course) is extremely taxing to your pancreas, which is already stressed with hypoglycemia. Did a doctor tell you to use glucose tabs?

How low is your blood glucose?

Hmhmh right now i dont know, but what is worrying me is i took pregnenolone to restore my cortisol level for over a week and it didnt worked, so for this i subscribed in this great thyroid thread. I already tried t3 hormone with good result and now that my package is finished i will continue with a better lifestyle :)
