The Kings Fund have created a video which tries to clarify how the NHS is run. To fully understand all the intricacies, you may need to watch it a couple of times!
To me, it looks like a bit of a mess and I expect a lot of people will agree with me.

Hmmm... Seems pretty clear to me... They want patients to wait longer and travel further for treatment because they want to cut costs and centralise everything... and perhaps they're banking on some people, especially the old and vulnerable who, of course, are a major drain on resources, to just go away and lose the will to live by introducing an ever-increasing number of ridiculous acronyms... Well, I've got another one for them: the Central Useless Non-Treatment Service...
And where are the equivalent videos for Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland?
