Hi people.

This morning on Bbc breakfast at 7.20, there is an interview with Dr Rangan Chatterjee from BBC doctor in the house, who is with a woman who has hashimoto's.

I missed the interview from the start, so wondered if anyone has bbc i player catch up, who can somehow record it and post it up?

Thanks.

BBCIplayer is available to everyone in the UK who has a laptop. No need to download. Thanks for the shout out. Will watch that!I was impressed with his TV programmes-especially to see him with a Genova Adrenal Cortisol test when helping a woman with an underactive thyroid & chronic fatigue, though disappointed he didn't mention T3.Wish he was my GP!

Saw the later interview, lady with UAT, fibro', fatigue... looked at the mitochondria and diet. There was no mention of her thyroid results, what she actually changed in her diet (ie did she go gluten free), other vitamin deficiencies. More about GPs being trained and lack of time in appointments.

Shame really...this could have been a great opportunity for the voice of 'thyroidies' if that had been the underlying cause.

Yes I did see this buggles84, I was lucky to see both interviews, there was about an hour between the interviews, one lady had a thyroid problem and the other I think had ME, Thyroid, Chronic fatigue, Fibromyalgia and irritable bowel syndrome, both reversed their conditions and no longer took their thyroid medication, they were told to take for life.

Dr Chattergee (not sure of the spelling of his name,) said he wants to change Doctor's attitudes (in the whole of the UK,) towards giving out pills and to bring in nutrition to turn illness around, that would in turn save the NHS money and lots of less suffering of patients that would be referred onto nutritional experts.

This is my take on it, I might be wrong as it was a few hours ago, my memory is of a fish, so do watch the BBC's iplayer news yourself.

I thought I was dreaming, certainly did not expect this on the news today. :)

It was on BBC Breakfast but I missed the beginning. I don't have a TV licence so I was hoping someone could record it and post it up? 😊

He did a whole programme with the 2nd lady Nicola in last Doctor in the House

I think they deliberately didn't mention gluten in such short interview

A) because it might put people off

B) too many think it's a fad

But yes in the whole programme she went gluten free (or possibly grain free), plus lots of vitamins, B12 and Bcomplex especially I think

Not currently available on iplayer

Might find it on you tube?

The woman did mention going suger free and eating healthily rather than snacking on things like crisps which perpetuates problems. She said she no longer craves sugery foods.

For those interested watching this on the BBC iPlayer the first interview is 80mins in. The second one is 175 mins in

Just wish he'd say what supplements he prescribed.
