Have done so Clutter but having read some notification from the BTA (in Facebook, i think, yesterday) I do not feel very confident about the outcome. BTA were saying they did not get many responses for need of liothyronine... Very odd indeed! I think everything has been decided a long time ago and will not change...

Incidentally should the decision be reversed I hope patients who never had the chance to try T3 but are still "dragging themselves" on levo will be given the chance of evaluating if T3 improves their health and quality of life.

The BtF claimed they hadn’t heard much from patients on the matter but it doesn’t mean the NHS haven’t via the consultation itself.

I think from the posts on BtF a lot of people have lost faith in them which explains why patients wouldn’t have been actively contacting them to represent them on the matter of T3.

Also I’d suggest the BTF should have been actively opposing T3 Withdrawal from the beginning and not waiting until now to mention it x

Agree with you, and probably many other people, the BTF have not exactly been proactive in the support for use of Liothyronine.... while so many patients are left struggling and having no quality of life at all because of inadequate treatment for hypothyroidism. x

Pamela0106,

As they follow the BTA stance which states its preferred therapy is Levothyoxine I'm not surprised.

Pamela0106,

4 hours 30 mins to 21st October. They'd better crack on with it if they're going to.
