I had my T4 (Dont's even know if my Free T4 or T4) checked without me knowing and it seems it's too high (30). This is very confusing because I have been on the same dose for 3-4 years now. I take Nature-throyd (Which is natural dessicated). The only reason I can think of it's having taken it before the blood test - I never take it before the morning blood test because it messes up with the results. My TSH is the same as it's always been.
I am not having any hyper symptoms of any kind, I am just as usual.

When you have Hashi's - as shown by high antibodies - your immune system attacks your your thyroid in the mistake belief that it is the enemy.
After each attack, the dying cells dump their store of hormone into the blood stream, causing levels of T4 and T3 in the blood to suddenly shoot up. This has absolutely nothing to do with your dose, and doesn't mean you've 'gone hyper', it is just a temporary glitch due to the Hashi's attack. The levels will go down by themselves eventually, and you will become hypo again. That is the reason your FT4 has gone up to 30. That is a typical Hashi's attack level.
I am aware that I should not take it before the test but my doctor didn't say she was going to check my thyroid. I have taken 6 grains for years and it's always been fine. I presume my thyroid died back then finally, which. honestly, did my life a lot easier. Ever since it died I never had to worry again about it and I am fine with regards to my thyroid, or as fine as I can be really since not treatment is perfect as we know. She just made me think about it. T4 30 sounds very high but if thyroid condition like hypothyroidism do not change as to produce more hormones, it only produces less so it makes no sense. I am not taking any new medication or changed my diet or anything else. I really think because I took it before the test (3 grains - I take the other 3 at 6:30) I got this crazy results. I just wonder if it is normal for the T4 to get that high in those circumstances, which I presume the answer is yes because I take a proper good dose of it, right?
