Hi, my friend has been having some pretty debilitating symptoms. She doesn't seem to have thyroid probs although they only checked her tsh.
She has low ferritin, low calcium and low neutrophils and is waiting on other results.
Can you suggest a good way to get some calcium into her please?
Many thanks
Calcium was 2.19 (2.2-2.6)
Neutrophil 1.6 (1.8-7.5)
serum ferritin 28 (13-150)
serum TSH 1.44 (0.27-4.2)
"also white blood cells were flagged up on all tests and calcium even though I was told normal . I've also gained a stone in weight, have constant pins and needles and itching has begun! As well as dizziness low blood pressure a and exhaustion."

Has your friend had her vit D3 tested? If that is low, and she starts supplementing with vit D3, that will increase her absorption of calcium from food - which is the best way of doing it.
As for your pins and needles, etc. Have you had your B12 tested?
