Spellweaver1312,

TSH is low-normal, FT4 is low-normal and FT3 is good as it is just shy of the upper third of range. Thyroid levels are euthyroid (normal).

Thyroid antibodies are negative for autoimmune thyroiditis (Hashimoto's).

rT3 is high which is unusual in someone not taking Levothyroxine or NDT. Were you ill when thyroid levels were tested?

Vitamin D is insufficient. Around 100 is good for most people. You can raise vitD by supplementing 5,000iu D3 daily for 8 weeks and then reduce to 5,000iu alternate days. Retest in April.

B12 is low in range. If you have symptoms of deficiency in b12deficiency.info/signs-an... go to healthunlocked.com/pasoc for advice.

Folate is deficient. My GP prescribed 5mg folic acid for a couple of months to correct folate deficiency.

Ferritin is optimal halfway through range. You can raise ferritin by supplementing iron with 1,000mg vitamin C to aid absorption and minimise constipation. Retest in 4 months.

HbA1c is within range so I think diabetes is unlikely but insulin is high so I would show the results to your GP and discuss.

CRP is an inflammation marker which may indicate inflammation or infection somewhere in the body.

Are you supplementing magnesium?

Thank you Clutter. I feel ill every day but not ill with anything in particular when these tests were taken

I'm already taking.vitamin D as prescribed by the GP but it's only 800iu a day. I take a supplement of folic acid but again not as much as 5mg

No I don't take a magnesium supplement so was surprised when that was high

Do you think overall that my thyroid is normal though and I don't need medication ?

Spellweaver1312,

Other than raised rT3 which can be elevated due to being unwell your thyroid levels are euthyroid (normal) and you don't need medication.

You might want to discuss high magnesium with your GP and ask for kidney function to be checked google.co.uk/search?q=magne...

I would increase vitD dose as I suggested above. 800iu is a maintenance dose but won't improve levels.
