Hi I am new and wondering if my symptoms are thyroid related? I am tired and losing my hair, eyes going puffy, getting cold easily. I have abnormal thyroid readings so would I need medication? Thank you

Abnormal thyroid results
Welcome to our forum, and if you can get a print-out of your results with the ranges and post them for comments, members will be able to respond. Put them on a new post.
Ranges are within brackets after the results. Labs differ so that's why ranges are important.
Blood tests should always be at the very earliest, fasting (you can drink water) and if you were taking thyroid hormones you'd allow a 24 hour gap between dose and test and take afterwards.
This method allows the TSH to be at its highest as that's all the doctors seem to take notice of.
Ask GP to test B12, Vit D, iron, ferritin and folate. We are usually low and deficiencies can also cause symptoms.
Also have high cholesterol, was told by nurse to watch my weight - when I only weigh 8 stone??
They know nothing. A higher cholesterol level is a clinical symptom also and will reduce when you are on thyroid hormone replacements.
