Tiromel comparison??

Hi all, has anyone noticed a difference in the strengths of some t3... I was taking uni Pharos for a while but after being ripped off I’ve been luck enough to stock up on abdi tiromel... but I definately think it’s weaker than the uni pharma! Anyone else feel this about other brands?

Hi - I presume you were on Unipharma and yes, when I recently changed from that to tiromel I had to up my dose from 18.75 to 25 to have same effect.

Yes, it has often been commented that Tiromel is weaker than Uni-Pharma. You'll just have to increase dose to compensate.

Strange, I find Unipharma much weaker than Tiromel! I find Grossman Cynomel most potent of all.

I found Tiromel weaker than Unipharma, I find the NHS version weaker too.

Look at the comments you've had - this is clearly an individual thing. For me, Uni Pharma worked better than Tiromel but have corresponded with others who found the opposite.

As Tiromel seems more easily available at the moment you may do well on that. Others have mentioned in previous posts that Mexican Cynomel/Cytomel is stronger and I think that's what Janey Bowthorpe from Stop The Thyroid Madness concludes, her side of the pond; I can't find the page - this is the nearest stopthethyroidmadness.com/a... so it may be in her book(s).
