Please help me understand my most recent tests compared to me first ones.
Old verses now results:
TSH was 0.402 mIU/L now 0.124 Range 0.27 to 4.3
FT4 was 19.72 pmol/L now 12.3 Range 12 to 23
FT3 was 3.82 pmol/L now is the same 3.82 Range 3.1 to 6.8
T4 was 96.7 nmol/L now 62.5 nmol/L Range 64.5 to 142
Anti-thyroidperoxidase was 83.52 kIU/L now 103.0 Range 0 to 34
Anti-Thyroglobulin was 34.37 now 26.6 kU/L Range 0 to 115
I'm confused because I've been taking 12.5 mg of T3 (Brand name is Tiromel and I was referred that info) for about 2 ½ months now but my T3 hasn't gone up. Also, I lowered my T4 intake from 125mg a day to 100mg a day because I was worried if I stayed at the 125mg and also took the 12.5mg of T3 it would be too much.
Also, why would one type of antibodies go up and the other antibodies go down?
Thank you for your help.

Did you read the answers I gave you on your last post?
You have Hashi's, shown by your over-range antibodies. Antibodies fluctuate all the time. There is not connection between the two different antibodies, they both fluctuate at their own rythme. So, it is perfectly possible that one goes up when the other comes down. It doesn't change anything, you still have Hashi's.
And, when you have Hashi's, your other levels can go up and down, too. You didn't say how much T3 you were taking in your last post, but you're only taking a tiny bit, so I wouldn't expect it to make much difference to your FT3. But, your TSH and FT4 have gone down because you are taking T3, as I explained in your last post.
And, you still haven't answered the question : were these tests both done under the same circumstances, because circumstances will alter results. I'm not sure there's anything more anybody can say...
Hello. Thank you for your replies. Yes I did read you response to my last post.
I'm taking 12.5mg of T3 so I was expecting my T3 to go up a little bit but I understand what you are saying. So I should start taking the entire pill 25mg then?
Should I also go back to taking 125mg of the T4?
Both these tests were done by Thriva Ltd labs.
I have changed my diet over the last year and I was hoping that the antibodies would go down due to this. I found out I have a Wheat allergy and I have an intolerance to eggs so I have cut both those out of my diet. The Wheat 14 months ago and the eggs is only recent so 2 weeks ago. I know it's to late to help my Thyroid now because I've had this for twenty years but I recently developed Vitiligo so I was hoping to reverse that.
Also, I have sent away for toxic metal testing to hopefully rule that out or address it if it is also a problem.
Increases in T3 should be 6.25 - 1/4 pill - at a time.
I don't think it's necessary to increase your levo if you're increasing the T3. You don't want it as high as it was, because it will just convert to rT3. Not much point in that.
I wasn't talking about who did the tests, the question was : were they both done at the same time of day and fasting. Those are the things that will have an effect on levels, and if they weren't both done at the same time and fasting, then you can't compare them.
I don't remember what time of day the first one was done. The second was in the morning and fasting. I will test again in 3 months and do it in the morning again.
TSH is highest first thing in the morning and drops throughout the day. It also drops after eating, so best to have your test before breakfast! Also, leave 24 hours between your last dose of levo and the blood draw, and 12 hours between the last dose of T3 and the blood draw.
