Has your GP seen these results? If so what has he said? If not you need to make an appointment to discuss them. If they wont accept these results, they may wish to do their own tests. Make sure you book the earliest possible appointment for the blood draw (no later than 9am) and fast overnight (water allowed).

Hi Doko

You say you haven't been diagnosed yet, have you had these blood results done privately?

You are very hypothyroid and positive antibodies meaning you have autoimmune thyroiditis aka Hashimoto's thyroiditis. You must be having symptoms and I suggest you have a look at the following list and write down which ones you have and show them to the doctor.

Because this is a condition of the metabolism, that is why the list is so long, it can affect our whole body in many ways.

You need to make an appointment with your GP as a matter of urgency, they may insist on running their own tests but looking at these results yo need to start on levothyroxine ASAP.

It might be a good idea to ask for your B12, vitamin D, folate and ferritin levels to be checked as a matter of importance too. Any blood tests you have done from now on in reference to your thyroid needs to be a blood draw as early as possible (ie. before 9am) on an empty stomach and withold your morning dose of levothyroxine, when you are prescribed it. I say this now because you will more than likely be started on Levo at 50mcg and this level increased by 25mcg every 6 weeks and a blood test until you feel better.

Take Levo on an empty stomach and have nothing to eat or drink for one hour. Many of us take it when early waking to visit the loo!

I know this all seems a lot to take in but make that appointment and if you have any questions there are lots of really nice and helpful people here who sail in the same boat! :) ...............and welcome.
