Hi all, can anyone shed some light on my results? A common question I know, but any replies will be appreciated.

TSH 1.43

T4 11pmol

Ferritin 23ng

Morning cortisol 4

Drs want to put me on antidepressants... Again for low mood, my mood is low because I'm shattered! Lol.

A common question you say but you have ignored the common answer i.e. show the ranges ,in brackets) as labs differ in the machines and reference ranges they use.

Your ferritin is far too low and needs to be at least mid range,but I know little about how to achieve that as I have far too much! Likewise I cannot comment on cortisol.Your TSH is not bad ,the aim is to get close to 1 or below. Your T4 is too low but you really need to know FT3 and may have to get it tested privately as the NHS avoids it and if a GP asks the lab often ignores the request.

Thankyou Treepie! My doc has said its all good and have anti depressants which I really don't want to take, but I thought they were a bit on the Low side and wanted an unbiased opinion.

Seems an easy option to dish out anti depressants,of course you are depressed - you are ill from being hypothyroid but anti depressants are not the answer, proper thyroid treatment is needed.

Have another drs appointment next week so will see if I can get an ft3 done....its worth asking.
