Research paper on why TSH shouldn't be considered

Hi all

I'm seeing a new Endo (deep joy) and I know he will be looking at my TSH level. In March it was sitting at 0.01 and I was told that if it hit 0 then they would have no choice but to look at my meds :(

I'm on 100mcg of Levo and 25mcg of T3 and they are testing my FT3 and FT4.

Does anyone have any links to papers to show that FT3 should be the only result that matters? Or anything to help get them to worry more about my FT3 levels then the TSH levels...

thanks :)

A review you might try is:

Homeostatic Control of the Thyroid–Pituitary Axis: Perspectives for Diagnosis and Treatment

Hi

I’m seeing him this Friday and I’m not looking forward to it... I’ve out on 6lbs and I’m knackered and I have this funny feeling he will say it’s because of my TSH and not my low level FT3.... I’m going to call this hospital this morning and request my results prior to my appointment but not holding out much hope on that. I think he will want to reduce my Levo!
