I am looking for some help. 8 weeks ago I experienced what can only be described as the worst head pain I have ever experienced. I was sent straight to hospital for a suspected brain haemorrhage. I had a CT scan, lumbar puncture and lots of blood tests which all came back clear. Fast forward to today and I am experiencing frontal headaches daily. I am taking Naproxen twice daily, amitriptyline at night, receiving chiropractic treatment and even bought new glasses. I am signed off work as I can't even walk upstairs without it making my headaches worse really fed up and miserable now. Doc today told me to take up yoga or find something to take my mind off the pain. Can anyone help please? Thanks in advance.x

Good grief!Doing yoga with a headache? Is he insane?
The worst pain I have ever had in my head is caused by a sinus infection." ENT specialists have told me this pain cannot be anything to do with sinuses,as its in the wrong place, but it is relieved only by sitting up all night rather than lying down AND putting my head under a big towel over a bowl of steam every twenty minutes.
The latest ENT consultant told me to make an appointment with neurology & get a CT scan of my brain.
A frontal headache IS typical of a sinus infection, however. My sinus pain is referred & is in the back of my head.
Is it possible your pain is anything to do with a recent viral infection? My sinus infections cause me agony at night for several weeks, eased with paraplus & blue blocks from the freezer.I always take 2 courses of antibiotics back to back, but I don't think they help.
I am sorry you are going through this.It is scary & demoralising as well as acutely painful.
Naomi says, "Good grief!Doing yoga with a headache? Is he insane?" My thoughts exactly!
Have you ruled out low iron or vitamin levels as well as sinus infection?
What are your thyroid hormone levels looking like at the moment? I see from an earlier post of yours that you were at one point taking 100mcg levo a day - is that still the case?
Being undermedicated can cause rotten headaches. Just a thought...
I had a headache every single day since having my daughter who is nine months now,, until two months ago when my doc finally started me on Thyroid meds (I'm hypo). Within days, the headaches were gone and have not returned. I am in no way stable on my dose and still have many hypo symptoms. But one of the first to go and stay gone was the unrelenting daily headaches.
Low iron can be a cause due to a lack of oxygen being transported to the brain - have you been tested ? Hope you soon feel better ....
Did your have your thyroid tested with the blood test? If not then I think you should. Just read your previous post 4 years ago and your GP doesn't sound the most knowledgeable. Post your results and don't forget the ranges as they differ from lab to lab.
I'm really sorry to hear about your headaches, Joanna. Almost constant headaches were what led to me being diagnosed with both B12 deficiency and hypothyroidism (only after neurological consultations, an MRI, and a diagnosis of late-onset chronic migraines!); once I started treatment for B12 and hypothyroidism, the headaches disappeared.
Starting both treatments at once means I don't know whether they were due to low B12 or low thyroid hormones, or both. I suggest it would be worth getting thyroid tests and B12 tests done to see how your levels look.
