This is the same for me. Do you have hashimotos or hypothyroidism?

Are you optimally medicated? If you post your latest results and what dose of thyroid meds you're on, we can see if you are.

Are you diagnosed hypothyroid? Feeling cold is one of the symptoms.

I am 72 years old and have had issues with my thyroid for several years, resulting in my GP prescribing Levothyroxine following various blood tests.

In April I had another Thyroid Function Test.

My Serum free T4 level was 17.6 pmol/L (range 9.00 - 19.00pmol/L

My Serum free T3 level was 4.51 pmol/L (range 3.25 - 6.21pmol/L)

My Serum TSH level was 0.01mu/L (range 0.35 - 4.94 mu/L)

I am taking 100mg Levothyroxine daily but am still feeling cold most of the time, and my hands are always cold. I feel tired and lethargic/low energy.

My GP feels that my Thyroid function test is ok and that no action is required.

Would it help if I took Nascent Iodine along with the Levothyroxine.

I'm fed up with feeling unwell.

Help/suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

I have a feeling Iodine is not a good idea - if you have Hashimotos ...

Thanks Marz. I've not been able to catch up this morning as the dog groomer has been, just settled down with a coffee now and will do some catching up :)

Just had my feet done - so all that pampering has made me super alert !! Now ready for a lie down :-) Wish I still had a doggie to groom - somehow the amazing cats do not compensate ... We had three kittens that arrived under the decking last summer - then there was two. After the Summer Guests had left Betsy - they found their way upstairs to us - and so ... now there is one - and another Big Boy we call FC - Friendly Cat - that belonged to a neighbour that left Crete for another island. Tomorrow he will be relieved of his Bits ... and so life goes on in Sunny Crete ...
