After about 3 years of asking I have finally seen an endocrinologist at Kingston Hospital. He has said my TSH is too low (0.01) and has done another blood test including cortisol.
If it is all normal he intends to lower my Levo from 125 for 3 months to 100 to get my TSH "back in range" and if I still don't feel well he says he will prescribe T3.
I consider this a small triumph -- if it happens and the DoH doesn't stop him in the meantime.

Hmmm. What were your free T3 and free T4 results? If they were over range, your low TSH is irrelevant (and it probably won't rise anyway). That endo just sounds like another TSH-obsessed diabetes specialist. But if he will give you T3 ... does he know that TSH will drop (even more) if you have T3?
Get your results - it's your legal right to have them in the UK. So probably no need to reduce dose, except to make you feel worse. What will he do if you TSH doesn't rise, which it probably won't unless you are severely undermedicated? Still, at least he is open to the possibility of T3.
Yes they are obsessed with TSH. I doubt if mine will go back "in range" but I did feel a little frisson of excitement when he said he could try me on T3 as an experiment.
