Yesterday I spent over 6 long hours in emergency with severe upper abdomenal pain. This had been going on for days accompanied by severe weakness, lightheadedness and gray pallor. The only relief came when I was given intravenous pain killers. All bloodwork and even the ultrasound came back normal (of course) so I was sent home with a prescription for Omeprazole, a proton pump inhibitor. Now I know it's likely low stomach acid that's a contributing problem but I'm desperate for relief. I'm literally scared to eat for fear I'll be back to square one!
I'd really appreciate hearing any similar experiences and/or feedback from the forum. Many thanks!
Would love to help but not something I've experienced Rusty. I hope you're feeling better now? Could it have been a reaction to something specific you ate or drank?
I don't think so. It's coincided with hypo symptoms so I'm sure there's likely a connection. I've read so much here about GERD problems with thyroid, low stomach acid, etc etc that they just have to be related.
I'm dealing with something similar I've had camera down and gallbladder and bile ducts fine had nuclear scan and will be getting results on 11th September. My doc thinks it's my small bowel causing all my issues it's inflamed and he thinks when it flares the inflammation travels up the bile duct and causes pain in gallbladder I found apple cider vinegar great I take a tablespoon before meals and it helps a lot also digestive enzymes and a good probiotic
