yes, 1) get your estrogen levels checked 2) get your igf-1 levels checked.
Thanks I will when I see him in October when I have my labs done.
My endo was dismissive of my 'paresthesias'. I took an igf-1 levels and they were sky high (not acromegalic but very high). Igf-1 is an indicator of growth hormone. I've changed my diet, gone vegetarian and cut out meat and dairy; had the doctor put me on a medication to reduce igf-1, and also gone on estrogen. I'd also suggest getting a pregnelone test. That was low for me also, as was the estrogen.
High igf-1 also lends itself to cancer so it's something to lower for the better. For me a middle aged woman with an autoimmune disorder it should be normal to low, but it was way to high.
I get a spider-like feeling rather frequently. It feels like a spider or some hair on me, but kind of from inside the skin.
It happens just about anywhere on me. Sometimes it helps if i give it a quick rub or poke, but usually I just have to ignore it and wait for it to go. Doesn't last long usually.
There are loads of spiders making their way into my house now though so it keeps freaking me out all the time
