Advice on T3 levels

I'm wondering if anyone can help with my blood test results. I have Hashimotos and currently take 100mcg Levo and 15mcg Liothyronine a day.

Recent bloods...serum free T3 3.8 (3.9 -6.7)

Serum free T4 14.8 (10 - 24.5)

Serum TSH 0.8 (0.2 -5.5)

I am feeling really tired and gaining weight and wondering if I should ring my Endo to get an appointment but blood test say no action needed. Thinking my Liothyronine needs increasing.

Any advice gratefully received

Mr Jones - I don't understand how an under range result can be marked no action needed. I'm beginning to think there are a lot of stupid doctors practising. I agree with you that your liothyronine needs increasing. When taking T3 you would expect to see FT3 nearer the upper part of the range of that is where you feel well.

Am wondering how you take your meds ? Absorption issues perhaps ? Have you had B12 - Folate - Ferritin - VitD tested ? - do you have results with ranges ? On that dose your results should be better - no point increasing if your vits and minerals are Low 😊

Hi Marx

I take my meds before breakfast. Had Vit D deficiency about two years ago but ok last year. Haven't had B12 tested recently.

Where do people get vitamin levels tested? It's so tedious going to the Gp!

Ranges are in brackets 🙄

Go to the main website and click onto - ABOUT TESTING. Lots of companies there with various options 😊

Go for VitD - B12 - Folate - Ferritin ....

Yes your FT3 is below range - should be towards the upper part. You appear to be a poor converter of T4 to T3.
