Hi, I'm just wondering if anyone can tell me how long it should take before I feel the benefit of taking vit D? I was prescribed 20,000u tablets, 2 a day for 10 days then one weekly for 26 weeks to address an insufficiency. My level was 25.8 (50-200) I'm on the maintenance dose now, but still don't feel any better after nearly a month. I still have thyroid issues that need to be addressed, but hoped the vit D would ease aches and pains I have been getting?

@Sodo it took a while for my rib-cage & joint pain to go after supplementing Vit D 3-5000iu daily - in fact my shins hurt worse to start with - but I persevered and the physio took me off her books & I avoided bilateral carpal and cubital tunnel operations.
I think low iron & B12 can have similar painful symptoms too - I hope you feel better soon

did they test your b12 and iron too because many times you are low in several things ....
when I was low, I took 5000mg under the tongue of b12 and of d3 w k2 in it daily for 2 mths and it raised them ...then I did it 2-3 times a week to maintain it of the b12 and still do the d3 bec I don tget a lot of sunlight
