I just had a blood test done and my TSH was 2.311; but my Ft3 was 2.0 and Ft4 was 0.59. Can anyone tell me what this means? I have been really anxious and not feeling well.

You need to add the ranges to your post - the figures in brackets after the number you posted. Ranges differ from labl to lab and even more from country to country so the figures are meaningless without the ranges

Ft4 range is 0.8-1.8

Ft3 range is 2.0-4.4

TSH range is 0.3-4.2

So your FT4 is under range at 0.59, your free t3 is at the bottom of the range at 2.0 and your TSH is slightly higher than most healthy people at 2.3. You'd expect a much higher TSH level with such low Ft4. This suggests that you might have a pituitary or hypothalamus problem - everything low - also called central or secondary hypothyroidism. Usually needs referrral to an endo for treatment as doctors aren't trained to recognise anything except primary hypothyroidism.

What does secondary hypothyroidism mean?

It means that the pituitary gland is damaged in some way so it can't or won't produce enough TSH to get your thyroid hormones high enough. The thyroid itself it usually fine
