Changing from unipharma T3 to Cynomel Mexico

Since changing my T3 supply as I couldn't get it from Greece, I've been really struggling as my Thyroid keeps swelling up so I'm finding it hard to swallow, feeling tired, anxious, tremors etc.

Is this normal when switching? I responded really well on Tiromel once I got my dose right. I'm on the same dose of Cynomel 12.5mcg twice a day. I'm going to get a blood test arranged but wondered it the Cynomel isn't as strong and I need to increase my dose?

Any advice would be much appreciated thank you

MissFG,

Perhaps the different fillers are affecting how you absorb Cynomel. Why did you switch from Tiromel. There's no shortage of Tiromel but it's never been available in Greece. Tiromel is Turkish.

Sorry my mistake I was on T3 from

Unipharma from Greece - I looked at sourcing Tiromel but went for Cynomel as I heard it was a better quality T3

I found Cynomel to be stronger than Greek Unipharma.

I was under the impression that Tiromel might even be a bit weaker than Unipharma, but have no personal experience of that.

If it's stronger could this be why I'm feeling off? Should I try 12.5 in the morning and half that at night see if it helps or wait and get my bloods done?

It could be. I did a straight swap dose wise (31.25mcg) and felt very jittery, had racing pulse of 117 at rest (normally 70-80) and my BP shot up to 195/108.

I stopped after two days, left off Cynomel for two days (just took my Levo) then went back on Unipharma for a week. When I had stabilised I tried Cynomel again but started at 6.25mcg and have increased by 6.25mcg a week and am now at 25mcg and no bad effects. I will retest before increasing further.

Thanks I've only about 6 unipharma pills left. I do feel jittery and just not right. I do have very similar symptoms whether I'm under or over medicated. So think maybe I need a slightly lower dose and go down to 3/4 of 25mcg. I'm on T3 only stopped over 2 months ago from levo as it wasn't helping and Endo agreed.
