I am new here. I had a parial thyroid lobectomy in November, my TSH is now 4.25. I am taking100MG of levoyhroxone a day, my doc has told me to come back in 6 months for more blood tests. I assumed that I would have been told to increase the dose to lower my TSH ? My cholesterol is also high but I am trying to control that with exercise and diet. I dont feel to bad generally, a bit tired now and then but mostly ok. Should I up my dose ? TY.

Pablo1882,
I've responded on your previous thread. Cholesterol will probably come down once you are optimally dosed on Levothyroxine.
Exercise won't do anything for your cholesterol, but it might affect your thyroid hormone levels. Depends what sort of exercise your talking about, but strenuous exercise uses up your calories and T3, affects your conversion of T4 to T3, and leaves you more hypo.
Doctor should have told you to go back in 6 weeks for a retest! Is he only testing TSH?
Depending on the country up are in you may get better treatment where you are! Just a thought!
