Lump in throat

I have had this symptom for several years but have had all tests come back in range.

What is frustrating is that it could be anything from anxiety to seasonal allergies.

I have to believe that in combination with all of my other symptoms that it has to be a problem with my thyroid. I'm getting tested again soon.

Has your GP palpated your throat and neck to feel for a lump? Have you had a thyroid ultrasound scan?

Thanks for your response Clutter and no you both of your questions. I have only had blood work done that shows in range results and that was something that I did independently.

Blood work won't show whether you have a thyroid nodule or goitre. Ask your GP to palpate your neck and throat. If a lump or swelling is detected an ultrasound scan should be ordered.

Ok thanks - I had no idea that would be separate from blood work! Have a feeling that it's from GERD or allergies and will be told to make lifestyle changes and made to feel like a hypochondriac. 🙄
