Hello,

I was wondering if anyone has any advice or direction as to what I should do? I have had these symptoms and I am not sure if it's a thyroid issue or something else....

Fatigue

Brittle Hair & nails

Acne

Shaky hands

Sometimes dizzy when I get up too fast

No energy at all

I've been taking an iron tablet hoping that would help, but I'm still feeling the same

JLynnBoyd It's not a good idea to take iron supplements unless tested and know that you need it. Too much iron is as bad as too little.

Have you had a thyroid function test? Maybe ask your GP to test TSH and FT4 at the very least, FT3 and thyroid antibodies if he can get them done.

Vit D

B12

Folate

Ferritin

Wholeheartedly agree about iron. But I'd add, "an iron tablet" might well be hopelessly inadequate if JLynnBoyd is significantly iron-deficient. Appropriate testing is urgently required - whether that confirms a suspicion or identifies the opposite state.
