Hi! I know I have been posting this issue few times, I think.
It's just that I am at the end of my wits to be honest. For private blood test, turns out there is also a waiting list so I am still waiting for that Thyroid Complete check including the vitamins.
These three weeks until now, I feel more fatigue as in never refreshed feeling. I am tired by 3 pm, definitely functioning less than I like, and on the weekends I usually went hiking but for now my energy is just done once I do laundry etc. Other symptoms I am feeling are including feeling heavy to breath ( SpO2 is 99 to 97), higher headache intensity and weird feeling on my chest. I am just wondering if it is all in just my head, stressing out or anxiety, or it is real.
Right now I am just stressed out, I want to get my energy back. I have talked with my family about this, they told maybe I just too stressed out and feeling my body too much.
Sorry for the rant.

Who are you doing your private blood test with? I've never heard of a waiting list before.
Really not much point in discussing how you feel with your family - except to inform them - because they really can't understand unless they have been there themselves. No matter how kind and caring they are, they just cannot know because it's not like anything else. And, what they've told you doesn't hold water. It's not just stress. Anxiety is a real thing, and it's a hypo symptom. It's not 'all in your head', it has a physical cause. And, hopefully, when you do get your blood test, the results will show you that.
Take care. and don't expect too much of yourself at the moment. You need rest. x
Hi Greygoose! Thank you very much for your kind reply.
I opt for the venous blood sample from Medicheck and there is only one clinic in my area. They only do the blood draw on Monday - Wednesday morning, they fully booked until August. I have been thinking to go private but I am not sure
Sorry, I've never had any sort of private test. I live in France, where private tests don't exist. But, hundreds of people on here do the finger-prick test. Why don't you start a new thread asking people for their experiences.
please check whether your meds have been reformulated. The addition of MANNITOL as an excipient can neutralise their effectiveness. It did for me. I had to buy Euthyrox from France.
For about one third of people Mannitol makes medicines non bio-available. That is why the French government stepped in.
Good luck.
PS SThyroid from Thailand have reformulated as well.
I think you meant this for the OP, but you replied to me.
In this case, it doesn't matter, because the op will see it, anyway. But, it's something to be careful of in future. Would have been better to click in a new comment box, rather than replying to someone else who isn't even talking about the same thing.
I was given a different brand or at least in appearance (white round tablet) that the ones I usually take which is orange-ish tablet. I just checked my med the different ingredients I found is that the new one contains Maize Starch and Citric acid monohydrate, so I am not sure if that two will affect it.
Can you tell me more about the addition of Mannitol?
I think you must be on Carbimazole. Is that right?
The mannitol issue mentioned is primarily in relation to thyroid hormones where even the tiniest change in absorption - increase or decrease 0 can have a significant impact.
Citric acid is usually used in tiny amounts to adjust the acidity/alkalinity of the product. Maize starch is often used as a bulking agent.
Yes, I don't think it is the med. I just look up the drug name and manufacturer on google. The manufacturer website have leaflet for patient and additional information for physicians etc.
With Google, you can very easily end up on old information or things that might not apply in all countries. Though from what you have said, it sounds as if you have found the required information.
Did you get the Patient Information Leaflet from the pharmacy? You should absolutely always get PILs for anything you receive. If not included, don't worry about making a fuss - just ask, demand, if needed.
My Vade Mecum document has links to the EMC (Electronic Medicines Compendium) which has most UK medicines in it - but not all. Very often easier than even manufacturers' own web sites.
And the MHRA Products database which has pretty much all UK medicines but is much more awkward to use.
helvella - Vade Mecum for Thyroid
The term vade mecum means:
1. A referential book such as a handbook or manual.
2. A useful object, constantly carried on one’s person.
Please don't get put off by the number of pages!
Nor by the fact it is targeted at people interested in thyroid issues. Much of its contents could be of use to many involved in health issues. Things like abbreviations, lists, general reference information.
In particular, it is not intended that you sit and read the document. Just that you download it and know you can look things up.
If there is anything you'd like me to add, let me know.
Not everything is in this one document - my major medicines document is still separate!
My medicines document has information and links for all thyroid hormone medicines in the UK. (But not things like Carbimazole.)
helvella - Thyroid Hormone Medicines
I have created, and try to maintain, a document containing details of all thyroid hormone medicines in the UK and, in less detail, many others around the world.
Thyroid S is the sole remaining Thai desiccated thyroid product. (There used to be two others.)
My medicines document has a little more information but the manufacturer doesn't reveal the ingredients of Thyroid S. Leaving us all in ignorance. And if you look around, you might find two different lists of ingredients on one well-known thyroid patient site. Meaning (obviously) you can;t trust either list!
