Goitre

It's 18mths since having treatment for breast cancer and when I found a lump in my lower neck one day I was quite alarmed. Our GP sent me for a blood test for thyroid which came back as normal.

Plasma THS level (XaELW). Result:- 1.17mu/L (0.3 - 5.6)

I then had an MRI followed by an Ultrasound with possible biopsy. The dr who did the ultrasound said it was a goitre which didn't require a biopsy and I didn't require any further treatment.

Should I be concerned?

Which of course I am.

Sylant,

The ultrasound would have shown whether there were any thyroid nodules with suspicious features which required biopsy so I don't think you need to be concerned.

TSH 1.17 is euthyroid (normal).
