Just started nature thyroid.

You will need to post your lab results (with ranges) line by line in order to really understand what is happening here. Depression usually occurs when you are Hypo and/or not at optimal levels in nutrients. So do post those results for the most accurate answer OK. It could be due to low iron levels or Vit D3!! But we won't know without the lab results.
Hi Thyrut6
Start on 1 grain per day , this is a smallish dose. Many people take up to 3-5 per day .
The best way to dose NDT is on symptoms, what is you temp, check it 3-4 times per day with a digital thermometer, do you feel depressed anxious, does your heart pound, do you have any tingles or slight shakes in hands, tingles in lips, or feet.
If your temp is less than 36.5 deg C or you have constant cold hands/feet or you feel depressed anxious, internal shakes in the gut, you are under dosed (hypo) . If your heart pounds or have shakes in hands, tingles in lips, or feet you are on slightly too much (hyper).
Once you establish your base dose (see above) you will need to take slightly less in Summer and slightly more in Winter (body uses it to keep warm). I also take .5 grain extra before going sailing or any cold sports.
You should split doses. 1/2 Grain in the morning and half at night for example
Always increase or decrease in small quantities, i.e take .5grain more every second day. (net result would be 1 and 1/4 Grains per day). Do this for two weeks and get stable, before increasing again.
Also never take NDT before a blood test, the drug peaks in your system about 2hours after taking, and falls away a few hours later.
Happy to help
