Does anyone have experience taking Adrenavive ll ?

I have had bad reactions to Thorne Adrenal cortex , which is half the strength of Adrenavive ..so I'm a little wary of taking the Adrenavive as advised ...perhaps the Thorne Cortex just doesn't suit ME...fillers perhaps,,

Any thoughts anyone ?

I take Adrenavive III which is stronger. I find it OK, but I have never tried the Thorne cortex, I started it after it became hard to get Nutri-meds in this country.

Hi there,

I have just started taking Adrenavive II. I've started really low (1/2 a capsule) and so far I have felt so much better in my mood, more motivated to do things. However, I was also low on B12 and have been supplementing this more rigidly - so not sure which one has improved my mood tbh. I just feel better.

I am currently trying to reduce Levo (only on a tiny dose currently), increase my Adrenavive II and then introduce Metavive (or an NDT) with the intention of coming off of Levo.

So far (2 weeks) I haven't had an adverse reaction and I am really sensitive to things.

Not tried Thorne Cortex.

I'd just say start small and build up slowly.

Good Luck!

I hunk you just carefull unscrew and roughly divide

It is only until your body gets used to it

What is Adrenavive . Is it a supplement or medication from a Doctor? Thanks

It's a bovine adrenal cortex supplement.

I have it about an hour after breakfast, but I think you're meant to take it before.

I was advised by Dr P., so I'm following his direction. He stressed that I should go slow with it, monitor temps and pulse as I go along and reduce/increase Adrenavive as necessary.

Hope it goes well for you - I was nervous about starting up. But, I also realise unless I trial the various options I'm not going to work out what works well. Hopefully this is the start of something better...

Wishing you well, keep us posted.

So nice of you to reply...thanks...yes..he advised me likewise..it's just that I had this bad reaction to the much weaker Thorne Adrenal cortex....but am feeling encouraged by your reply...

I contacted the sellers and he suggested first trying it with food..and only a quarter perhaps..then moving on to without food...and so on, slowly increasing. But he said don't take if getting very fast heart rate..as I did get with the aThorne.

Hi JollyPolly

I just wanted to say that where I had taken a 3/4 capsule yesterday, I definitely felt it more this morning. My pulse and temperature were both up - not massively, but enough that I will not take any Adrenavive today and start up again in a couple of days. I also didn't sleep as deeply as I did when I started it - but overall my mood is still improved, so I will keep with it.

Good luck with it all, it's a minefield knowing what to do for the best.

Thanks so much

008 .. yes , it is indeed a minefield .. I often feel like crying .. 😔But there , while ther is life there is hope and we must forge ahead and try to solve this puzzle !!!

That's very helpful ,

What you've shared . Makes me know I'm or alone in any of this and that i should not lose heart . I'm travelling tomorrow .. away till Nonday .. so I decided to wait till I return home to start experimenting properly with the Adrenavive .

I phoned Natural Choice yesterday and told him my problems and he was wry helpful ... suggesting staring with a quarter with food then without .. then a half with food and then without . He said food dampens down the effect .. he also said when your adrenals are quite bad .. as mine are .. you exonerated super sensitive to everything .. and intolerant ..

the ins outs ups downs ifs maybes ramifications interactions knock on effects etc etc etc

Seem to go on and on and on ...

It's no wonder we've all got brain fog ..

But many thanks again 008 I really appreciate your replies . All the very best to you ...

we will both get there and not give up 👍😉

I take 2 Adrenavive III before breakfast, but I've been taking it a long time and started with half a Nutri-meds capsule, so I'd go along with that.

Hi Angel of the North,

As you are familiar with Adrenavive I thought I’d come to you...

I too have been on Adrenavive for some time...

I take one Adrenavive 111 at seven am

and one Ad 11 at eleven or twelve.

I am using Dr Rinds temperature chart...using his method.

Are you familiar with this ?

My frequent question to myself is...how long with stable temps until you can safely raise NDT ?

My temps are consistently low...around 36.0 - 36.1

And clearly I am not very well....but,..often it feels like like low adrenals...but with low temps how do I know I’d it is indeed low thyroid...I’m so unclear about all this...

Dr P says the temps are the last thing to go up....but how do you know if the low temp is a sign you need more NDT or not ?

My biggest sigh is that there is virtually no published advice about use of specifically Adrenal Cortex..and NDT...

Dr P doesn’t use Dr Rinds method either..which doesn’t help ...it is all so very very difficult . I’m longing to put up my NDT..one quarter grain at a time..but previous attempts have been futile,,..I’ve been just over a week with stable temps...but don’t feel wonderful....any suggestions or can you share any experience of all this ?

Many thanks,

Jolly Polly

You'd need to look up Dr Rind's method again as I can't remember and don't take NDT. I'd just try raising NDT by a 1/4 of a grain and giving it a month or so before deciding if it is working or not. Make sure B12. folate and ferritin are optimal as they are probably more important than temperature, considering that there is noe school of though that says "fix adrenals first" and another that says "ix thyroid and adrenals will follow".

Jollypolly in reply toAngel_of_the_North

Thanks for this...I SSUME YOU MEANT TO TYPE ONE SCHOOL OF THOUGHT and not NO School etc

If so yes....it’s true..and makes it is difficult.

Anyway..I think I’ll do as you suggest...

Basically my predicament is that I’m meeting the criteria with my stable temps, according to Dr Rind...to raise my NDT.....but I don’t feel bright...anyway...off I go and I’ll give it a whirl. Many thanks for replying.

I've been taking 2-3 tabs twice a day for the last 3 months, and it seems to be helping me process the T3 better through a stressful phase of life.

Some might be very sensitive to cortisol . Sometimes using the whole components of adrenals is easer on adrenals .

Angel_of_the_North profile image

I found the opposite.

One has to try out which way works best for themselves . It's great that you figured it out what works best for you . Some of us a bit more sensitive . It all boils down to it's not one size fits all .
