Hi everyone, just another quick question. So I am currently waiting for a short synacthen test from the hospital to test for Addisons disease and wanted to ask something about weight loss. My latest blood results showed my TSH at 0.07 (range 0.35-5.50) so my GP has reduced my medication by 25mcg to 125mcg per day. This was on Monday and I was probably only taking the higher dose prior to that for about 3 weeks. In the last week I've lost 5 pounds in weight for seemingly no reason. Could this be why or could this be related to Addisons (if I do have that?). I'm also exhausted all the time, have mood swings and feel weak, like my strength isn't really there anymore. Thanks in advance.

Polly2501,
Being over medicated on Levothyroxine can cause weight loss. TSH 0.07 doesn't mean you are overmedicated unless FT4 and/or FT3 are over range. Read Treatment Options in thyroiduk.org.uk/tuk/about_...
I think Addisons can also cause weight loss.
