What has increased from 15 to 30?
Oops sorry. Armour
You are definitely undermedicated so hopefully you'll be feeling better on a higher dose. 30 is still quite a low dose.
What are your B12, Vit D,folate and Ferritin levels like?
If shoulder pain continues chat to doc, sometimes a sign of heart trouble although unlikely but best to get checked out if persists. It won't be from your meds though so don't reduce dosage again. Your heart needs adequate thyroid meds to function.
T3 will lower your cholesterol if high.
I have Hashimotos and have had two frozen shoulders... ☹️ Very painful. If pain persists you can be referred.
I've also had a lot of shoulder pain, starting from the neck and sometimes all the way down the arm. Also chest pain which took me to the doctor thinking that I had a heart attack. But all of this has cleared now that I have my thyroid under control.
Please get into the habit of asked for a. Opt of your results and the ranges. Notvall do tors are good at understanding them so useful to have your copy if things not going well. Hopefully then if you post them we can give ideas of what to do. Always include the ranges as they differ from lab to lab so we won't. E familiar with just your figures.
I've had pain in the left side of my neck and left shoulder, on and off for decades since diagnosed with hypothyroid. I didn't know until a recent private blood test that I have hashi's. Only when I increase my T3 medication (I only take T3) does the pain go away. In fact according to my doctors, I was over medicated but the pain had gone! I have felt for a long time that it's muscular, all connected to the thyroid.
If it is under the left shoulder blade, it is probably to do with digestion and liver. A liver support supplement (eg milk thistle - check allergies) and digestive enzymes or HCL might help.
I don't understand your dose at all e.g 15 to 30. I am assuming the 15mg is a 1/4 tablet and 30 is 1/2 tablet. If that's the case you are very underdosed. 30mg of NDT is equal to 50mcg of levothyroxine. A starter dose.
Could be a trapped nerve .
My frozen shoulder improved markedly when I took magnesium citrate, it's now completely better. I take it in the evening, every two or three days. Of course, this may not work you, but it worked for me. I think there's a known link between Hashimoto's and shoulder pain.
