Daughter24 obese, Downs Syndrome really dry skin , scabs don't heal , tiredness and insomnia, on Levo 25 mg and Citalopram for depression . These are the annual blood tests taken in March 2017 for nothing specific . She is dependant on Diet Coke and coffee to give her energy , she has lost a stone already on Slimmers but is still suffering with boils on the groin , hypersensitive to certain fabrics , OCD with colouring books and despondency . I was under the impression Levi was to help weight gain and provide energy if levels are low . Please look at test results and advise what to ask the GP for to get my daughter back to her normal bubbly self 😘

TSH is too high when already diagnosed as underactive and on levothyroxine. Most people feel better when their TSH is at 1 or below. Her lymphocyte count and neutrophil count are both a little low so she could be at risk of picking up infections. Has she had any tests for vitamin levels? I would suggest to her GP that he/she raise your daughter's levothyroxine to 50mcg and retest in 6 weeks. Also request vitamin testing of D, folate, ferritin, B12. Also thyroid antibodies. I can't remember any others but I'm sure that someone will be along who can give you more advice. Clemmie
