No sweat!

Since being on ndt I have hardly sweated, nor even produced body odor. Even in this hot weather! I don't even need to wear deodorant. I just wondered if anyone else had experience of this? What's happening here?

Are you optimally medicated? If so what were things like before? Did you sweat a lot previously?

I'm not optimal at the moment and I simply cannot tolerate the heat. I don't sweat loads either but I get very agitated in this weather and at night my feet are so hot I cannot sleep.

Yes i used to sweat a lot, including lots of night sweats. I used to suffer more like you in the heat but that's improved too.

I think it's a symptom of not being on enough medication as that slows down metabolism and bodily functions...I have literally gone through months of no sweating even if I was incredibly hot ..even if I went in a sauna I would barely sweat!..maybe your not yet optimal .

I'm sure you're right as I'm on under 2 grains of ndt. I was thinking over medicated because it's so opposite to where I was a few months ago.

I have been under-medicated and over-medicated, and now - I think - I've got it right. But, I haven't sweated, except on my head, since starting thyroid hormone replacement.

Interesting... I nnever thought I'd reach a time in my life when I didn't need deodorant, especially in summer.

I thought sweating was a healthy part of the detoxification process so that shouldn't stop. I would like to feel more comfortable in the heat as it makes me incredibly stressed and agitated. I hope that changes soon.

As I say, this used to be the case for me but now I feel ok in the heat. However, I still feel cold hands in the heat sometimes.

I stopped sweating when I was firstcdiagnosed. Now I'm on NDT I sometimes do but it's very rare

Thanks for letting me know. Looks like it's fairly common. I like it. My night sweats previously were awful, sometimes once a week. Now that's all gone.

Isnt it strange - I am completely the opposite. I never sweated. When hay making I used to carry a water spray with me just to keep me from boiling over. I could sit in a sauna and not squeeze out a drop! Now on NDT I have about 5 different deoderants in the effort to try and keep my armpits from scaring the crowds! :(

That's really strange the way it seems to make us the opposite of where we were before.
