Sorry. I just spit all over my computer. Beefburgers? I'm assuming barbecued?
Wash with Dettol SOAP! It's antibacterial. Smear a bit of zinc oxide cream on and spritz with your favourite eau de parfum.
Or do you want unwashed, undeoderized armpit to smell diferent?
Armpit smell depends on the bacteria that are digesting your sweat. The actual sweat has no odor. It's what the bacteria do to it that causes the smell. Usually for women it smells like onions because there's sulfur in the sweat. Burgers are a new one.
Okay okay people, don't start telling us your sweat smells like roses.
Some food will affect the smell. If a person eats lots of fenugreek, then sweat will smell like this.
Maybe you are just sweating more because you are taking NDT.
I too have noticed I am having to be a great deal more careful with my underarms since I started on WP. I have never had this problem all my life, but suddenly catching a wiff of myself came as a shock!
Interestingly a female sow on heat smells strongly of fenugreek. I have pigs so can blame any stray wiff on them!
I now use a "male" underarm spray as they are usually not scented and are stronger in my opinion.
my arm pits are neither unwashed or undeoderized
I noticed recently that underarm deodorant/anti-perspirant is claimed to work for 48 hours!!!
I can't use these things because my skin turns red and raw. That's why I have my other system which works well.
Also I've noticed that certain fabrics are problematic and encourage sweaty odor. And it's not consistent. Thicker poly/cotton blends are bad. Same combo but finer fabric are not bad.
gabkad,
Onions ? ? ? ...
Do you have to eat a LOT of them to smell like one ( or two! ).
Mind you the reason to this logic doesn't allow follow through as I do not eat ROSES ! !
Lol,
Flo
The other day I was reading some science article on sweat smell and how men smell different. Can't remember what they smell like.
Oh yeah, I asked one of my friends if she thinks that cumin smells like 'man'. She didn't think it smells like her man. LOL!
I guess diet has an effect on body odour based on what the Japanese said of the Portuguese sailors. Vegetarians think meat eaters stink...... etc.
And there was a study done recently that the average woman only washes her bra once every 28 days!!!!!!!!! Ladies, wash your bras!!! There's a company making some sort of bra from a material that does not encourage bacterial growth.
Dear god! Really? I only wear a bra once before washing it! That's terrible. lol Mind you, I rarely wear bras - not if I can help it - so I'm not really typical, I suppose.
But, then again, I Don't sweat Under my arms. Haven't done for many, many years. And no form of thyroid hormone replacement has changed that. It's both a blessing and a curse...
I have to wear a bra. Not a good look otherwise ! !
I usually wear mine twice though & knickers once obviously!
Hope you wear knickers! !
Lol

As a a young woman, in the days of maxi skirts, I didn't wear knickers ...
Only wear knickers to work. At home it's pyjama type pants and a long loose top or nothing if it's warm weather. Cuts down on the laundry.
Who me??? Oh, yes! I love my frilly knickers!
Goosey: NOOOO! Now I have visuals of a woman in full flight wearing fluffy slippers, a fuzzy bathrobe AND frilly knickers.....HAHA HA HA! Can't leave out the dog running behind....or ahead. Whichever the case may be.
This needs to be immortalized on a card: Mother Goose at Christmas!
Ummm... Don't know where you get your funny ideas but... Hm.
Now you are going to deny wearing fluffy slippers?
Oh, I wear fluffy slippers, alright! But not a bath robe! I suppose you imagine me slopping round drinking a White Russian, too! lol
Mine smells chemical and slightly sweet. No beefburgers, with or without onions. Actually fenugreek is great for making you smell better - like maple syrup chocolates. I'd forgotten about it, but used to eat a lot of it when I had really bad hot flushes
Yeah, this beefburger thing sounds soooo weird. She won't say if it's barbecued or charbroiled though. Or just pan fried. LOL!
Now I've finished laughing til I'm nearly sick at the antics of some of my fellows, with their frilly knickers, impertinent questions on BBQs or charbroiling and maple syrup chocolates I just wanted to give you a hug, foxyeyes. It can't be pleasant. I hope you find something that soothes your concerns, but do remember it may not even be you...
I remember years ago when I started a new job coming home with a most unfortunate smell; it clung to my clothes and I really was getting in a state about it, washing my hair every day and using more scent.
One hot day at work, it was unbearable...then a male colleague walked by and I got a lungful. Another colleague said Bloody hell, Mike's high today - he must have had a heavy night ! He drank unfeasible amounts of beer and hummed as a result.
It was Mike, all along. Are you 100% sure it's you ? Just a thought.

Have you recently started any new supplements? I've been taking lots of different supplements over the last few years, and often, whenever I add a new one or stop taking an old one I notice a difference in my odour and amount of sweating. But usually after a while either I become accustomed to the change, or it stops happening as my body adjusts. I take T3 only, but I can't remember if it caused any change in odour when I started it.
A few months ago I noticed a distinct change in odour and sweating when I started taking 5000mcg Jarrow Formulas methylcobalamin every day. I smelt worse for a while, and noticed that I temporarily got more eczema, more spots, and more mouth ulcers as well. But over time all these problems got better, and I ended up feeling that the overall change was eventually an improvement, rather than the reverse. It took a couple of months though.
I think my changing odour is probably related to the fact that my gut bacteria are being fed a different diet or different nutrients from what they had become used to. And it may be that one particular type of bacteria may end up doing better on the new diet than the old diet, while some types of gut bacteria get crowded out by the ones that start doing better.
Hi Humanbean yes i have started to take some new supplements did'nt think of that did have a small outbreak of eczema but that has cleared up now thanks for that info will keep that in mind in future.
