Bonniebonbon Reference ranges are needed to interpret test results. As ranges differ from lab to lab it's necessary to have the ranges for your own particular test results.
To comment on T3, you need FT3 tested and we need to know how much T3 you're already taking.
Hya I'm taking vitiman d3 and iron tablets aswell,,t3 I am taking 25mg a day ,,I take them all in the morning together,,the only reason I started taking t3 was because on 100mg thyroxine I was still putting on weight hair falling out ,,mood swings etc,,,
This doesn't say what the reference ranges are for your thyroid results so still comment can't be made about them.
Did you have those vitamins and minerals tested? What were your levels? What doses of supplements are you taking? Hopefully you're not supplementing without knowing your levels? That would be foolish particularly for iron and D3 because excess is stored and will cause toxicity.
What was your FT3 result before you started taking T3?
Any thyroid medication needs to be taken on an empty stomach, one hour before or two hours after food, with a glass of water only.
Iron should be taken four hours away from thyroid meds and two hours away from any other medication and supplements as it affects their absorption. Iron tablets should be taken with 10mg Vit C to aid absorption and help prevent constipation.
D3 should be taken four hours away from thyroid meds.
Maybe you need other tests done like B12 - Folate - Ferritin - VitD. If low they could be the cause of your symptoms. Do you have Hashimotos ? Gut issues affecting absorption ? How do you take your meds ?
