I suffer from psoriasis on the soles and toes of my feet and hands. I have kept my skin clear for over a year, but around 5 weeks ago I bought a new pair of sandles for my holidays with a composite rubber insole. This aggravated my skin intensely and I have had a very bad flare up of aggressive psoriasis on both feet. So bad that the skin has completely flaked off leaving vulnerable pink new skin underneath and with the slightest movement turned into cracked slits on the skin. Obviously life has to go on and I have coped in the really not temperatures of holiday 40 degrees+ and walking city streets. I have dressed and maintained my feet throughout this time. I would be really grateful if other people who suffer from this debilitating skin disease, could contact me with their experiences and remedies.

I am not able to help you but I do know how debilitating it is. However, in the meantime in case you haven't seen them before these are past posts:-

Yes, I had pompholyx on my hands and feet which is incredibly itchy blisters that then crack plus it was always getting infected - sometimes i could barely walk or use my hands plus the itching was unbearable. Resolved after going gluten free alongside all my other diagnosed problems and autoimmunity! Too late for my thyroid though as already dead. Took a while to go though - was the last symptom to go actually (a year) but the itching went down after a couple of months.

Nothing helped other than that - sometimes antihistamine creams helped the itching minutely but only used when totally unbearable to take the edge off as using all the time just thinned my skin and made matters worse.

Steroid creams always made worse as well.

Used to use magnesium sulphate to try stem infection but would have to resort to topical antibiotics if not.
