I would be thinking that the balance is about right if you are seeing the symptoms diminished. If the symptoms are still present then discuss with the endo or GP but even if they are all gone, get a regular blood test done, perhaps every 3 months at the beginning and them if they are stable increase to 6 monthly. GP can normally provide them off the back of a phone call.
Your TSH at 0.00 is just below the range you have shown of 0.35 to 4.95 isn't it? I'm not great with decimals but 0.5 = a half, 0.35 therefore about one third - but, are you sure it was not -0.35, my lab range for TSH goes down to minuses, in which case your TSH is within the range.
Hello again Lebogang, sorry I wasn't clear, I wasn't questioning your result of 0.00 but asking if you are sure the lab range only goes down to PLUS 0.35 rather than down to MINUS 0.35 which would mean your 0 is within range. I'm sure my last surgery's lab range went down to MINUS 0.5.
Hi, once you are on thyroid medication the tsh means absolutely nothing unless is goes high. Tsh comes from the pituitary gland. Please don't worry and don't let your doc reduce your meds because of it.
