Am I a T4 to T3 Converter ?

Who's good with figures lol??....I am looking to see if in people's own opinions and experience if I am good at converting! ...I am posting here my last blood test from middle of May ...(.please note that at this particular blood test I had dropped 1wk previous from 3 grain NDT to 1 grain as I was advised to do this whist introducing an adrenal glandular! )...but previously they hadn't been much different on 3 grain which I had built up over a period of months since switching over from levothyroxine several months ago and self medicating. ..Soooo...as follows. .

Serum free T3 4.6 (3.00-7.10)

Serum free T4 8.8 (10.40-24.50)

TSH 0.01 (0.30-6.00)

So this is NDT ..does it look like I convert well?

Now I've found some old bloodtests on levothyroxine 75mg from a year to 18mths ago and are as follows. ...

Serum free T3 4.1 (3.00-7.10)

Serum free T4 10.8 (10.40-24.50)

TSH 3.1 (0.30-6.00)

Another..

Serum free T3 4.6 (3-7.10)

Serum free T4 14.1 (10.40-24.50)

TSH 0.08 (0.30-6.00)

..and another..

Serum free T3 5.1 (3.00-7.10)

Serum free T4 17.5 (10.40-24.50)

TSH 0.07 (0.30-6.00)

Please could someone advise me whether looking at figures and percentages/ratios and the fact one is NDT and the others levothyroxine whether I look like I'm a good converter of T4 to T3?....or does it look like I may need to start adding T3?

I've never got above mid range but have got TSH repressed ..However if I've raised levothyroxine to more than 75mg I've not felt any better and raising NDT even up to 3 grains hasn't budged bloodwork much and I've not really felt right ...

Lozzer66,

Your conversion would have been better when you were taking Levothyroxine if FT4 had been higher in range.

Dropping from 3 grains to 1 grain will have skewed your FT3 result. FT3 would have been higher if you had continued taking 3 grains. The T3 in NDT will overcome any conversion issue you might have.

Clutter ..thanks ..I also found a test from when I had been on 2 grains for a few wks...as follows

TSH 0.03 (0.03-6.00)

Serum T4 10.2 (10.40-24.50) ...they didn't do T3 that time!....

I am at a loss of what to do...whether to continue with ndt or go back to levothyroxine or to add t3 to any of these. ??..I can never seem to get bloods over middle of range( or feel well as I know syptoms are more important than numbers)...I was still hypo on 3 grains as I was watching my temperatures and they were low even with raising. ..that's why I decided to drop and add the adrenal glandular ... I wondered if looking at the numbers one maybe more favourable than the other for my body to take ?.. I just can't seem to get it right and wondered if I would do better adding T3?
