Hi,
First of all please excuse me English. It's not my native language. My name is Anna and I have been a member for a while just a silent one
I've had underactive thyroid symptoms for over 30 years (I'm 40 years old). I struggle daily with low body temp, sluggish digestion ( diarrhoea or constipation), hair loss, dry skin, mood swings. I do have quite a problem with my diagestion - don't tolerate lactose, ceratains sugars or fibres.
Recently I bought T3 Tiromel (Turkish) and at first week I was fine I've started with 12.5 mcg in the morning and 12.5 mcg in the afternoon. I didn't feel much of a difference so I raised my dose by extra 12.5 mcg and got unpleasant bloating and terrible winds. My temp although went up finally so that was positive. But bloating and wind were so bad that I had to lower the dose. But since then any time I try to take even smallest dose like 12.5 a day is causing me a great discomfort. Unacceptable winds, painful bloating and even diarrhoea.
I have looked in to the ingredients and I see that lactose is a filler used and I'm thinking maybe that's the cause. Although I'm usually able to tolerate small quantities of lactose and even if I feel ill this usually only last few hours.
My reaction after tiromel last much longer - it seems like at least 24 hours. I do work and I struggle with these side effect. But I do like that I feel warmer.
Could you please advice what do you think could cause my diagestive discomfort?
And also were I could buy lactose free T3?
Many thanks
Anna
