Hello I'm back - second Consultant appt tomorrow

Some of you may remember me posting a while back.

I felt really ill for months and after ruling out Vit D and B12 levels (I supplemented before testing and levels were good) and me still feeling ill I did a Thyroid test at BH.

Levels were in range but indicated struggling thyroid according to the lovely posters on here so I went to GP who eventually prescribed Levo (now still on 50mg)

GP was nervous because I was in range so referred me to a Consultant for a scan.

The consultant laughed at me basically, said no chance of a scan, said he didn't believe in private blood tests, ignored my family history (my mum and granny have thyroid issues which started in menopause - I am menopausal), ignored the fact I feel better since taking the Levo and promptly wrote to my GP to tell her to take me off Levo.

GP was actually lovely and phoned me to tell me the content of the letter (I had actually asked consultant to send me a copy of all letters and he said he would but never did!)

Gp asked me if I wanted to try someone else and I said Peter Hammond as he is purported to treat symptoms and my appointment is tomorrow.

I am actually ridiculously scared the same will happen tomorrow as did the previous Consultant.

Hope this appointment goes well for you 😊 and you can continue with treatment. Lovely that GP is being supportive.
