Best supplier of vitamins : Hi could someone... - Thyroid UK
Best supplier of vitamins
Take a look at Dr Mercola products on Amazon. Not cheap, but produced responsibly and ingredients traceable. Try brazil nuts for selenium.

All tablets have fillers. There's no way of producing a tablet without fillers.
I prefer vitamin D3 softgel capsules which have D3 in olive oil to vitD tablets as the fat in oil aids absorption.
Amazon is a good resource. If you buy on Amazon please use this affiliate link healthunlocked.com/thyroidu...
healthleadsuk.com and metabolics.com are two companies that don't use unnecessary ingredients.
I use Metabolics B Complex and buy direct.
I use Natural Calm Magnesium Citrate Original powder, nothing else added, from Amazon
Some good brands, although you will find some fillers in most them
Cytoplan (Nature's Own, same company) - I use Cytoplan selenium as it is a small tablet that has no unpleasant odour like a lot of selenium supplements seem to have, and I buy direct when they have their 3 for 2 offer on and stock up on other supplements from them
Lambert's (Nature's Best, same company)
Nutri Advanced
Biocare
Healthy Origins
Allergy Research Group (Nutricology)
Doctor's Best D3 is excellent, two ingredients only - D3 and extra virgin olive oil
Some good suppliers for price/delivery/customer service (some brands you can order direct)
Bodykind
Lifestyle Labs
Health Monthly

Brazil nuts have to be grown in selenium rich soil to contain any selenium, so if you want to use that as your source of selenium then check that the packaging states that, if it doesn't there will be next to no selenium content. If it does state that, it depends where they have been grown as there is more or less selenium in the soil in different areas. It's very hit and miss with Brazil nuts.
Yep. Your average bag of Brazil nuts will not be grown from soil certified by laboratory analysis to contain selenium. They will give you decent healthy fat content but no or negligible selenium. Lab certified Brazil nuts are quite expensive and you will need to get them from a decent, probably independent health food shop or online.
Take selenium tablets at no more than 200mcg daily. They often come with a co-factor of zinc. By the way, the tablets can be rather smelly in a sort of garlicky way, though they don't make your breath smell. They are not "off" it's quite normal!
