Pretty new on this site & a Hashi girl

Wondering if anyone has coughing fits when laying down at night esp and /or when you feel thyroid getting most in self attack mode. Thanks for your insight

I had a large nodule compressing my windpipe and it was uncomfortable lying down flat as it made me choke and cough. I got used to sleeping slightly raised with an extra pillow.

Hi! Thank you Clutter,I am in the US & Im usually up til 3a EST due to work & is how I didnt get back to you sooner. Wow! I wonder if that could be my case!?! This is a great lead!!

Your GP could palpate your thyroat and neck to see whether s/he detects any swelling or lumps but to conclusively rule out a thyroid nodule or goitre you would need an ultrasound scan of the thyroid.
