Thanks to you all they have increased my Levothyroxine as they wasn't going to until I quoted and showed them various information from you yesterday. I am no on 50MG and have to be re-checked in 6-8 weeks. Here are my blood test results. Drs tried saying all was normal x

TSH was a little high and FT4 a little low. The 25mcg dose increase will raise FT4 and FT3 and drop TSH.
Alkaline phosphatase is mildly elevated but as the rest of the liver profile is normal it is unlikely to be significant. labtestsonline.org/understa...
The rest of your results are within range so they are normal.
"Normal" means test results are within range. For some, like thyroid, the ranges are very broad so knowing where in range the results are is important as optimal in range is better than normal.
Of course your GP says all is normal purely because they're in range. You now need to get that TSH down and the free Ts up, so when you make the next appointment for your blood test book the earliest appointment of the morning, fast overnight (water allowed) and leave off Levo for 24 hours (take after blood draw).
You have all the information you need to fight your corner and continue dose increases until you feel well. I hope it's not too long before you feel some improvement
She changes her mind when you presented her with facts, basically evidence that you should be on more Levo and where to aim with your results. So, to my mind, as she didn't challenge your facts, then she must have known this all along and she knew she was keeping you under medicated. Why FGS, just why??? It can't be because Levo is expensive and she wanted to save the surgery money.
Sadists, the lot of them. I've experienced lack of referrals, lack of treatment, lack of important blood tests when being on certain medication that can cause problems, paid privately to get things sorted. When you present the evidence that they can't dispute then you get somewhere, but it really shouldn't be like this. It's a constant battle to get the proper treatment that we pay for through our taxes and that we are entitled to.
They don't like the fact that I stopped some of my Fibromyalgia medication - Gabapentin , Amitriptylene and Duloxine as they had no effect and now blame all my symptoms on that and won't budge. I am looking for a new GP now. I am based in South Somerset not far from Yeovil, if anyone knows of any good ones x
