Blood tests and where to get T3
Jazztilly,
Blue Horizon, Medichecks and Genova are all reliable and accredited labs.

Why don't you see what your blood test results are on NDT before buying T3?
I have got into a bit of a state about my thyroid. I am 60 and a carer for my parents. I recently have piled on a stone in weight and feel constantly tired. I was on levo for 20 years (after my son was born) and was very depressed and heavy in weight but tried armour which was like a miracle for 3 years, I lost weight and felt alive again but about a year and half ago the weight started to go back on and depression came back so I changed Naturethyroid (also Armour because price went up) It was okay but then about 3 months ago I piled on weight again and have never felt so tired and ill so tried Thai thiroyd then thyroid S and nothing is changing. I had bloods done in Nov by my Gp T4 was 12.2 and tsh was 0.01, he was very unhappy about it and told me "well its your life" so I have been reluctant to go back but spoke to him yesterday and he agreed to do full blood tests as he knows I have very little income but also said I do not need T3 but in the same conversation admitted he did not know much about NT! I am having bloods done in 2 weeks but do not ever want to go back to levo, I feel I wasted my life while I was on it. I want to find the solution with NT again but have got into such a poor mental state I hardly know what I am doing anymore!
Jazztilly,
When you are taking NDT or T3 you do need to know what your FT3 level is. FT3 is rarely ordered in primary practice and if your GP won't or can't order it I recommend you order a Medichecks FT3 test for £29. Once you've optimised your FT3 level you will only need annual FT3 tests. thyroiduk.org.uk/tuk/testin...
