If you can also tell the forum of the ranges for the above results. The reason being that labs differ and can have different ranges and it makes it easier to comment.

The most important question is 'how do you feel?'

Besides the reference ranges, also mention what thyroid meds you were taking at the time of the test and how long you had been off T3, if at all. You've mentioned that you'd been using T3 in previous posts and that you would stop it before your test.

Hello. I've been on T4 for ten years now at 125mcg and briefly tried ie three days of T3 at 12.5 twice a day first day then cut this by half on second and third day but palpitations and raised systolic incurred and rather frightened me. This was two weeks ago then did blood test last week but didn't take T4 on day of test does this help. I just feel tired and so demotivated joint and muscle aches also

You haven't given the reference ranges. Your results can't be interpreted without them as they differ from lab to lab, and we have no idea where your FT4 and FT3 lie in their ranges.

How long had you been off T3 before the test?

Joint and muscle aches would be due to low nutrient levels. Have you had the following tested, of so please post the results with reference ranges

Vit D

B12

Folate

Ferritin

Dodds,

FT3 5.7 is usually high in range. If so, it appears that you are a good converter on 125mcg Levothyroxine and are unlikely to benefit from adding T3.

What are the FT4 and FT3 lab ref ranges?

I'm not sure need to find out. It sounds like the results are ok but don't feel great.

Maybe there are some aspects of thyroid disease that medication doesn't fix and I just need to accept this 🤐

Dodds,

Ok doesn't cut it. For you to feel well your results need to be optimal and so do your ferritin, vitamin D, B12 and folate.

Not what you're looking for?
