Looking for a good thyroid endocrinologist

Hi there

I have had t3 withdrawn by local NHS endocrinologist despite it helping. I'm feeling dreadful. Can anybody recommend a good private endocrinologist in Herts beds bucks area please.

Perhaps you would like to appeal your NHS endo's decision and attach the statement from the British Thyroid Association about switching patients who are doing well on T3. british-thyroid-association...

A private prescription for Mercury Pharma Liothyronine will cost £258+ for 28 x 20mcg tablets. Ask your private endo to prescribe Thybon 20mcg (German T3) which costs €30.15 for 100 x 20mcg or Sanofi Cynomel 25mcg (French T3). Alternatively, buy Greek, Turkish or Mexican T3 online without prescription.

Print out the info sheet aimed at GP's from link Clutter has given you & give to your GP.

Also suggest you take/send copy of the information sheet by BTA written for endocrinologists to original endo.

You could also ask your GP for referral to alternative NHS end and insist on remaining on T3 while you wait.
