When my thyroid started going underactive I was also going through the menopause and was told soya was good for that. I used soya milk and everything soya. But what I found is that soya is the very worse thing for the thyroid according to my then endo. So I stopped and my TSH went down.

Your then endo was right. Unfermented soy is very, very bad for the thyroid. It impedes the uptake of iodine by the thyroid gland, and it impedes the uptake of thyroid hormone by the cells. So, even if you are on thyroid hormone replacement, it will affect you. It is not a health food!
